One day at a time

How do you think of your plan in terms of getting healthy? Do you think long-term, or short-term? I used to set big overwhelming goals and then when I didn't make progress towards them I would get depressed and start eating unhealthy again. 

Today I only set short-term goals. I only focus on today. I take one day at a time. I plan my meals and exercise for the day, and my goal is to stick to that plan. Changing my mindset from long-term to short-term has changed my life. Before I wasted too much energy worrying about the future, and I would sabotage myself when I didn't think I would be able to reach my long-term goals.
