A vacation doing nothing

And just like that, vacation is over. it went by fast, but it was great. We went to Sweden and spent two weeks with my dad and three siblings, and their families.

Before we left for vacation I got a lot of questions about what we were going to do in Sweden and I answered "nothing". The plan was to hang out with the family and do nothing. And that's what we did. It was perfect. Nowadays a great vacation is measured in the amount of things we do, how many places we visit and how much we go shopping. Vacation used to be about relaxing and rejuvenation.

I think the best vacation is time spent doing things that we don't usually do otherwise. Things that will break up the normal routine. Because the daily routine is the one thing that can drain us of the most energy (work, commute, dinner, homework, bathtime, bedtime, repeat...).

What are you doing this vacation? How about nothing?
