A Summer energy kick

My favorite part of Summer is that I always get a big energy kick, and I get flooded with inspiration. I want to eat healthy, move, paint paintings, write, refurbish furniture, spend quality time with my children and husband, have friends over every weekend etc. I keep on going and going. I wish I could have the same energy throughout the rest of the year, so I'm going to try to figure out how to do it. 

So most of us become happier in the Summer. We are outside more, we get more sun and Vitamin D. But what else is it that gives us that energy kick? 

Is it?

  • That it's warm outside so we spend more time outside hanging out with family and friends?
  • That it's easier to do more exercises outside?
    • Why can't we try a variety of new exercises in the winter?
  • That we are Vitamin D deficient in the Winter?
    • Let's take Vitamin D supplement
  • That we get more energy from spending time in nature?
    • Let's take more walks during the other seasons
  • That we spend more time in the Summer with our friends, and our friends gives us energy
    • Let's get together with our friends more often during the other seasons

Something to think about!

One thing that I've figured about myself is that I spend five minutes by myself in the garden every evening. Not thinking about anything. Just sitting down and listening to the birds. Or walking around taking care of the flowers. So I need to create a routine like this during  the other seasons of the year. Perhaps taking a walk in the evening by myself to get some fresh air and to clear my head.

What routines and things do you do during the Summer that gives you extra energy that you can do during the entire year. We all deserve to feel the Summer energy energy kick all year long!
