I painted all the vents in the house this week. I wouldn't call it a complete zen project, but looking at the results absolutely gave me zen. They look great, and it was such a good item to cross off the to-do-list.

I tried to be in the moment while painting them. Breathing slowly, and admiring their beauty. They are over 100 years old, which is amazing. Image everything that has happened around them in all of those years. If vents could talk...
