Candied pecans

Dear Daughter,

I can’t forget to give you this favorite! Here is the recipe for the Candid Pecans we always make for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter

  • 3 cups pecan halves

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt or sea salt

Direction

  • Prepare by spreading parchment paper on a baking sheet

  • Melt the butter in a frying pan and add the pecans. Toast the pecans lightly.

  • Add the brown sugar and stir until it melts and starts to caramelize

  • Sprinkle in the cinnamon and stir to mix in

  • Spread out the pecans on the parchement paper and let sit until they cool

  • Break up the pecans and put them in a bowl to serve

  • Enjoy!
