‘Fast Casual’ Restaurant Dishes Have More Calories Than Fast Food

"(Reuters Health) - Main courses served at fast-casual restaurants tend to be higher-calorie than traditional fast-food entrees, despite public perception that the offerings at these outlets are healthier, U.S. researchers say."

Although I appreciate when we spread knowledge about health and educate everyone on calories and to understand what they eat, I always crinch when the focus is on calorie count. I don't want anyone to start going to MacDonalds instead of Panera because they are afraid of eating too many calories. The focus needs to be on the food quality, and nutrition. Places like Panera offers healthy options with protein and vegetables, where the customers easily can create a nutritious meal. And then if the portions are too large, then just save the other half for another meal.

No one should be eating this crap!
