A healthy protein snack

I wanted to give you a tip of a super healthy snack that you can keep in your desk draw for a dose of protein and healthy fat. And you don't have to worry about refrigeration, which is the best part. - Sardines!

They come in different flavors (tomato sauce, olive oil etc), so you have many options. It's difficult to find healthy protein snacks (I don't like protein bars since they are processed) that doesn't need to be kept in the refrigerator, which is why I really like sardines. I buy the cans that you don't need a can opener for to make it even easier.

Sardines are one of the most concentrated sources of omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, which have been found to lower triglycerides and cholesterol. A can also supplies 351 milligrams of bone-building calcium toward your daily goal of 1,000 to 1,200 milligrams. The same can provides 2.69 milligrams of iron, which supports immunity. Sardines are also an excellent source of Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D, ranking as one of the world's healthiest food most concentrated in this nutrient.

Yes, they are a little bit smelly, but worth it!
