LCHF seed cracker recipe

I made some LCHF Seed Crackers last night. They are both delicious and filling, and easy to make. This is a super healthy choice for you who love crackers.

Recipe

  • ¼ cup Sunflower seeds
  • ¼ cup Pumpkin seeds
  • 1 cup Ground flaxseed (aka linseed)
  • ¼ cup Sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp Psyllium husks
  • 2 tbsp almond flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup of Water (enough to make mixture firm but soft )

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 320ºF.
  2. Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl and stir well.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  4. Immediately spread out the mix on a lined baking sheet
  5. Let stand for at least 15 minutes. The mixture will absorb all the water giving it a thick texture.
  6. Pour the mixture on to a lined baking sheet and spread evenly to the edges making sure there are no holes.
  7. Score the flattened mixture with a knife so that you can break into squares when cooked.
  8. Place tray in oven and bake for 40-60 minutes or until biscuits are cooked evenly. Keep an eye out for burning and reduce temperature next time if the edges cook before the centre is ready.
  9. Remove from oven, and break crackers along the scored lines into squares and cool on a cake rack.

Enjoy!
