LCHF and Clean Eating recipe - Spicy Orange Cinnamon Shrimp

I can never get tired of shrimp. This is a fun dish with a great mix of flavors, and easy to make. Skip the rice to make the dish LCHF.

Spicy Orange Cinnamon Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. small shrimp
  • 2 tsp. olive oil
  • Zest of a large orange
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 – 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper (depending on how spicy you like it)
  • Brown rice
  • Salad; 2 fresh avocados and 1 grapefruit

Directions

  1. Prepare the salad: cut up the avocado and grapefruit into chunks and mix in a bowl. Set aside until serving.
  2. Put on the rice to cook following the directions on the packaging.
  3. Clean and peel the shrimp.
  4. Heat up a pan on medium heat and add the olive oil.
  5. Add the shrimp and spices and cook until the shrimp turns pink. The shrimp cooks quickly so be careful not to over-cook it.
  6. Serve the shrimp with the rice and salad.
