I can never get tired of shrimp. This is a fun dish with a great mix of flavors, and easy to make. Skip the rice to make the dish LCHF.
Spicy Orange Cinnamon Shrimp
Ingredients
- 1 lb. small shrimp
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- Zest of a large orange
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/8 – 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper (depending on how spicy you like it)
- Brown rice
- Salad; 2 fresh avocados and 1 grapefruit
Directions
- Prepare the salad: cut up the avocado and grapefruit into chunks and mix in a bowl. Set aside until serving.
- Put on the rice to cook following the directions on the packaging.
- Clean and peel the shrimp.
- Heat up a pan on medium heat and add the olive oil.
- Add the shrimp and spices and cook until the shrimp turns pink. The shrimp cooks quickly so be careful not to over-cook it.
- Serve the shrimp with the rice and salad.
