Found a new favorite snack

This week has just flown by. It flew by so fast that I didn't even get a chance to blog on Wednesday, for which I apologize. The reason for the week moving at the speed of lightning is because it was filled with great Client meetings and check-ins. I'm very privileged and thankful to be working with such an amazing group of people.

Yesterday I checked in on Emma to see how she is doing on her homework for this week. Remember how she had to clean out the kitchen of processed foods and go shopping for healthy snacks? She was super happy when we chatted yesterday. The kitchen is clean and she has discovered that she loves snap peas. She has been eating them for snack all week. That is one of the things I love the most about working as a nutritionist. It's watching people learning and discovering new things about themselves. That journey in itself is amazing. It doesn't matter what age we are, there are still so many things to learn and realize about ourselves, and becoming healthy helps us doing just that.

Also, the fact that Emma switched out her usually snacks, Cheeze-its and Doritos, for snap peas is a small change that is going to lead to a big difference for her. Not only in the nutrition Emma is now providing her body, but in the calories.

Make an assessment of what you eat everyday and see what foods you can switch out for a healthier version.
